Below is a brief log of our stay in Kuching, Sarawak. It is to give you an idea of what we did.

23rd Oct. Saturday – Arrived in evening. Drive-through Bandaraya Kuching (Kuching City) after dinner.

24th Sunday – Morning service at Good News Fellowship

25th Monday – Orangutans at Semenggoh National Park, Kolo Mee brunch, drive-through town of Serian, stopped by in Ranchan Recreational Park to view waterfall, drive-through University of Malaysia Sarawak aka UNIMAS (huge campus!). Drive-through Old Kuching (older part of the City).

26th Tuesday – Checked-in to Damai Beach Resort, swimming.

27th Wednesday – More swimming, walked by the beach (first time in my entire life I walked on clean sand), lunch at Kampung Buntal at seafood restaurant.

28th Thursday – Back from Damai, dinner at Sushi King at The Spring shopping mall (currently the largest in Kuching), MPH bookstore.

29th Friday – Everrise supermarket

30th Saturday – Super Save at Green Heights Mall, yam ice-cream at Everrise

31st Sunday – Morning service at Kampung Karu (located 45 min. from Kuching City), afternoon service at Chinese congregation in GNF, bought Christmas presents in Super Save (the ‘Save’ should be self-explanatory).

1st Nov. Monday – Laksa for breakfast, sampan (boat) ride, window-shopped through souvenir shops facing waterfront.

2nd Tuesday – Serene’s birthday, seafood dinner

3rd Wednesday – Door lock incident in house, Everrise

4th Thursday – Bought misc. items at souvenir shops, lunch at The Spring, Popular bookstore.

5th Friday – Pottery factory visit, Super Save

6th Saturday – 2-hour drive to Kampung Simuti

7th Sunday – Morning service at Kampung Simuti, drive back home, Chinese restaurant for dinner

8th Monday – More shopping at souvenir shops

9th Tuesday – Clean house, late afternoon flight back. Sweet home sweet.
